Bookmap Template that includes new topics

Post by kate_lopresti »

Our team publishes multiple guides with a common outline. Is it possible to create a bookmap template that generates new topics within it when it's called?
I've used Fast Create Multiple DITA Topics, which is helpful. The challenge is enforcing authors to follow the prescribed outline (sample below). If I could create a bookmap template that does this for them, it would get them started without backtracking to rename or reorganize the files after the fact.

Hello Kate,

We have a feature named "Project template".
To see how that works, in the Oxygen main menu "Project->New Project" and in the New Project dialog you can choose "Sample DITA Project" and "Simple DITA Project". Then choose a folder for the new project and the created project will contain a project xpr file along with multiple other resources.

https://www.oxygenxml.com/doc/versions/ ... oject.html
project templates are actually ZIP archives (with a .zxpr extension) and are stored within the file template directory structure (for example, frameworks\dita\templates\sample-project\Sample DITA Project.zxpr)

Thanks for the quick response. I'll take the startup project for spin and see if it works for our guide.
