File open dialog has no file name completion in X?

Post by queshaw »

I am using oxygen 26.1 under ubuntu 24.04.1 in current WSL2 using no additional X server. The file open dialog doesn't have file name completion. Is there a way to fix that?

Hello,

Oxygen's file open dialog on Linux uses the generic Java file chooser which does not provide file name completion. It's just a basic file browser/chooser. There's no way around that...
In Windows the native file open dialog is used which inherits all the features of the platform (including file name completion).

BTW, you mentioned WSL 2, you need to run Oxygen specifically within the Linux environment? Why not run it in the Windows host environment?
