How to duplicate a ditamap and break relationship between the 2 documents
Hi,
Can anyone please tell me how I can easily create a duplicate copy of an existing ditamap (including its set of associated topics of course) for use as a new document, where modifying the new map+topics does not modify the existing/original map+topics?
Thanks a lot in advance

Hi Olivier,
I would open that map in the Oxygen DITA Maps Manager view, right click its root and choose "Export DITA Map".

Radu

Re: How to duplicate a ditamap and break relationship between the 2 documents
Thanks Radu,
I exported it as a zip file to a local folder, then copied it back to my repository and it seems to have worked.
Follow-up question: Is it necessary to export it a) zipped and b) to a local folder to break the relationship between the documents?
Thanks,
Olivier

Hi Olivier,
So the "Export DITA Map" can export either to a target folder or to a zip archive, in both cases the exported content is a copy of the original content.
