Open in Browser problem with 8.0 (MacOS X)
Trying to open an .xml file using the new "Open in Browser" buttons fires up the Property List Editor... delusions of grandeur on its part maybe?
Can this be configured so a browser is used - I'd like to specify Firefox (which isn't the system default browser)

Hello,
The "Open in browser" action opens the current file with the application associated with that file type in OS X. First associate Firefox with .xml files in Finder by right clicking on an .xml file, selecting Open with -> Other, selecting Firefox in the list of applications, checking the "Always open with" checkbox and pressing the OK button. After that you can use the "Open in browser" action to open .xml files with Firefox.
Regards,.

If anything I'd like .xml files in the Finder to default to oXygen! Why would I change them all to Firefox? Compare this to, say, Adobe GoLive where .html files open in GoLive and "Open in Browser" does just that.
So a feature request: Can "Open in Browser" please (a) mean open in a browser and (b) be configurable so we can select which browser.

The browser application can be configured in oXygen in Options -> Preferences -> Global -> Default browser but not on Mac OS
We will add the option "Default browser" also on Mac OS.

Hello,
Regards,
Sorin
Now the option Default Internet browser is available also on Mac OS X from menu Options -> Preferences -> Global. The action Open in browser available on the Document toolbar and the Document -> XML Document menu uses the browser set in that option for opening the current file. The option Open in browser of transformation scenarios uses the same global option Default Internet browser.Gandalf wrote:So a feature request: Can "Open in Browser" please (a) mean open in a browser and (b) be configurable so we can select which browser.
