Between the 7th and the 9th of April, 2025, the Oxygen XML Editor team will exhibit and present at the ConVEx San Jose conference – the immersive experience for content developers!

In its 27th year, ConVEx aims to provide you with a plethora of ideas and information to help you define and implement a comprehensive content strategy with a focus on structured content and in particular the DITA standard. The conference will offer 3 days of sessions, 4 Tracks, 15+ Sessions in the Technology Test Kitchen, content management solutions representatives, and the very best in industry networking.

This highly interactive event, taking place in the state of California, provides an opportunity to improve communication and collaboration across multiple departments and gives you a rare insider’s look at what is working (or not) for other teams.

This tool is available as an add-on for both the Oxygen Web Author browser-based editor and the Oxygen Content Fusion collaboration platform. Furthermore, the Oxygen AI Positron Enterprise add-on now enables direct connection to your own AI engine (via your Open AI account, Azure Open AI service, or Anthropic Claude). During the presentation, we will showcase a variety of compelling usage scenarios that illustrate how the Oxygen AI Positron Assistant can enhance the technical documentation writing process. Alex Jitianu, who brings over 15 years of experience with Syncro Soft Ltd. (the producer of the Oxygen XML Editor), will guide you through the session, covering key features such as: Re-writing and improving content (correcting grammar, active voice, and readability enhancements). Proofreading and comment resolution actions. Generating overviews and summarizing topic content. Translation features. Efficient reuse of key and content references. Content generation via retrieval augmented generation (RAG) for drafting and completing topics. Vision support to generate documentation from screenshots or create alternate text. 15:00 - 15:45 CDT Tuesday, April 8, 2025	Overcoming Challenges — Editing DITA XML Content with AI Tools - Radu Coravu Radu Coravu - Oxygen XML Editor The DITA XML standard is recognized for good reason for its versatile reuse capabilities which allow creating content which is consistent and can be used to single source the entire publication needs of a company. AI editing tools can bring lots of extra benefits for technical documentation writers, capabilities for re-writing content to improve readability, grammar checking, content generation, generating reports and much more. But how do these benefits interact with the DITA XML features (content reuse, specialization) and how can AI tools be developed to work better with these DITA XML specific features? Radu Coravu is a DITA XML expert working on oXygen XML Editor. During the last years, his main focus has been on the development of the visual XML Author editing environment and the specific-DITA support provided by oXygen, combined with working on the Oxygen AI Positron add-on which adds specific AI functionality for editing DITA XML content. He provides support for complex integrations and helps steer the product in the right direction, all this with some development on the side.
